Find quick answers about our WEEE collection and recycling services. Learn how we handle electrical waste, what items we collect, and how we ensure safe, compliant recycling for households and businesses across the UK.
WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. It covers any item that requires a plug, battery, or power supply. WEEE recycling ensures that old or unwanted electricals are collected, broken down, and processed so that valuable materials like metals and plastics can be reused instead of ending up in landfill.
We collect all kinds of electrical and electronic items, from computers, printers, and IT hardware to kitchen appliances, lighting, and large household equipment. If you’re unsure whether something qualifies as WEEE, simply contact us and we’ll confirm before collection.
Once you contact us, we’ll discuss what needs removing, provide a clear quote, and arrange a convenient collection time. Our team then collects the electrical items, transports them to an approved recycling facility, and provides the relevant waste documentation for your records.
Yes. Every collection includes the appropriate paperwork, such as Waste Transfer Notes or Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes if needed. Businesses can also request recycling reports or data destruction certificates for audit and compliance purposes.
Collected items are taken to a licensed WEEE recycling facility where they’re dismantled and sorted into different material types. Reusable components are recovered for recycling, and hazardous elements are handled safely in line with UK environmental regulations.
Absolutely. Any device that may hold data, such as computers, hard drives, or mobile phones, can be securely wiped or destroyed before recycling. We follow recognised data destruction standards and can issue a certificate confirming complete data removal.
